Adrift in the sea of possibilities.

I studied Systems Design Engineering at uWaterloo. Founded an AI for material science startup (Direct Atomics) that failed to reach PMF. Worked on a lightweight, writable alternative to graph Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) that uses semantic triples. Researched RAG at Protocol Labs (turned into corporate spinout). Built AI content detection using transformers at Cloudflare early 2022 (before LLMs were hip). And did a bunch of product/design/swe internships at the Air Force, Wind River, and Blackberry.

This is the latest snapshot of my personality archetype.

Some things I believe in:

• Mouth closed, don't get fed.
• Desperation never served anybody. Suffering is a choice.
• Life is too short to play zero-sum games (ex status).
• Kindness isn't niceness. Signaling virtue is a vice.
• Character is grace when the chips are down.
• Most people don't change their minds.
• Be a hyperrealist. Dreams + Reality + Determination = A Successful Life.
